In 1987 Thermokon Sensortechnik GmbH in Mittenaar was founded by Harald Zygan. Thermokon started with the production of special sensors for the heating industry. Over the years, the product line was extended by air-quality, humidity, light and occupancy sensors .

Capitalising on new innovative technologies and their fast realization are always the supporting pillars of a company. Thus, Thermokon was able to establish quickly into the market and achieve continuous growth. Nowadays, the company premises have a floor space of more than 2000 sqm.In order to optimise the production and quality control, a quality management system was introduced in 1995 and Thermokon has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001.
